Navy Federal Late Night Approval Hack: How to GET APPROVED in 2024

I’m back with a fresh take on a topic many of you are curious about—the Navy Federal late night approval hack. In this post, we’ll explore how you can increase your odds of credit card approval with Navy Federal Credit Union, especially if you’ve had trouble in the past. Let’s dive into the details!

Step 1: Become a Member of Navy Federal

Before you can apply for any credit card, you need to be a member of Navy Federal. If you’re not already a member and don’t have military affiliations, check out my previous video (link in the description) that covers alternative ways to join Navy Federal.

Step 2: Pre-Qualify for a Credit Card

Once you’re a member, I highly recommend using Navy Federal’s pre-qualification tool before applying for any credit card. This tool is located under the loans and credit card section of their website once you log in. Pre-qualifying can give you a better sense of which credit cards you might be approved for without impacting your credit score.

Step 3: Understand the Application Process

You can apply for Navy Federal credit cards online or over the phone. The mode of application (online or phone) does not affect your chances of approval, so choose whichever method you prefer. Remember, applying for a credit card will result in a hard inquiry from TransUnion, so ensure your credit report isn’t frozen at the time of application.

The Late Night Approval Hack

Now, for the exciting part—the late night approval hack. Here’s how you can use this strategy to your advantage:

What is the Late Night Hack?

Apply for a credit card or a credit limit increase between 11 PM and 5 AM Eastern Time. During these hours, fewer staff are available, and the decision-making process might rely more heavily on automated systems, potentially increasing your chances of approval.

Why Might This Work?

The theory is that with less human oversight during these hours, automated systems play a larger role in decision-making, which might work in favor of applicants who have been previously denied.

Personal Success Story:

I tried this hack myself and also with my brother, who had a lower credit score and a derogatory account on his record. Surprisingly, he was approved using this hack after a previous denial. I also used this method to successfully increase my credit limit following the 91-day rule (which stipulates waiting 91 days after your last application).

Tips for Using the Late Night Hack

1. Apply after 91 Days: Always wait at least 91 days after your last credit card application or credit limit increase before trying this hack.

2. Check Your Credit: Ensure your credit report is unfrozen and does not have any security freezes.

3. Pre-Qualify First: Even if you have a high credit score, pre-qualification is crucial as Navy Federal considers other factors beyond just your credit score.

4. Choose the Right Card: For new members, the Cash Rewards and Platinum cards are often easier to get approved for compared to higher-tier cards.

While the late night hack might not be a guaranteed solution, it has worked for many, including myself and my brother. If you’ve been denied in the past, it’s worth trying this strategy. Remember, every credit application should be made responsibly based on your financial needs.
